The 11-TECH-18 youth forum was funded by Enable and the Renewal Trust to hold a Youth Talk conference at the Djanogly Academy in May 2013. The event was attended by over 60 young people, most of who were students at the Djanogly Academy and were aged between 17 and 18. The purpose of the event was to give the local youth an opportunity to voice what matters to them with regards to their aspirations and life in Nottingham.
The objective was to give them the opportunity to listen to motivational speakers, two of which were speeches by Cecilia Wright and Martellus Baz on topics relevant to them, and also to take part in activities that would interest them. These topics and activities included volunteering, employment, education and health and fitness.
