What is 11 Tech 18
11 TECH 18 was founded in April 2003 by a group of individuals who wanted to address issues affecting their local community. The organization was setup to provide support for local families and communities who needed advice and guidance on education, welfare, employment and project development.
11 tech 18 services a wide and diverse audience ranging from young people through to elders across the city of Nottingham, all with their own particular needs. We provide training for young people and adults not in education, employment or training. We focus in supporting them to explore, share and preserve their cultures and heritage. We aim to improve the health and education in Nottingham.
11 TECH 18 provides training courses for young people who find it difficult to achieve academic courses in mainstream schools, or those who have been expelled or underachieving in schools across the city of Nottingham. We focus in helping children, young people and adults explore, share and preserve their cultures and heritage and help to improve the health and education in the communities.
By the end of March 2007 11 Tech 18 was able to retain a board membership of 7 committee members with 16 supporting Volunteers and staff members. This enabled 11 Tech 18 to improve and widen its already existing services. Our commitment to quality has meant that all our tutors and volunteers continued to take up additional personal development and training, to help develop and deliver quality standards within our organization.
